*** BREAKING NEWS*** The San Marcos Rattlers had four players selected to the All District 25-5A first team and five more players named to the second team. Pitcher Derek Gonzales, second baseman Tucker Smith, shortstop David Hamilton and outfielder Jesus Rodriguez were tabbed First Team All-District 25-5A. Pitcher Derrick Vasquez, catcher Elijah Perez, first baseman Mike Masters, outfielder Carlos Villasana and outfielder Alex Sowell were chosen as Second Team All-District 25-5A. After a playoff loss in the bi-district round, San Marcos will return two of its first-team selections next season, including Gonzales and Hamilton. The Rattlers also say good-bye to a senior group that brought a lot of success for Bryan Webbs team.
