BREAKING NEWS........... The ongoing peace negotiations between the Degodia and the Garre communities have come to an end after proposals by the degodia community to bar the creation of new settlement in Mandera north was out rightly rejected by a combination of politicians and elders. Its believed that the mutiny that was spearheaded by Mumad and Adan Moh,d Nur was defeated by a determined opposition that came in the form of Governor Roba, senator Kerrow, Fathia and Hon Adan Huka of Mandera south. There are reports of joy in the No camp as Mumad and Adan nura have disappeared in to the thick bush after their suggestion of no new settlements which was proposed as a peace deal was met by horror and outrage in Mandera county and beyond. Social media became a wash with hateful post towards the two traitors who had other political motives to achieve. Its believed that Adan barclays, Garre professionals, intellectuals and Ulamas have intervened and rebuked the two traitors and told them they had no right to sign any peace deal on behalf of the Garre community and that such a monumental deal must be put to referendum. Our degodia brothers have now been informed of a unanimous Garre decision which produced 4 resolutions. 1. That an immediate cessation of hostilities be observed by both communities UNCONDITIONALLY. 2. All roads to be opened immediately, free movement of persons and goods be guaranteed by the respective communities 3. All IDPs be resettled back to where they came from regardless of clan affiliations 4. Disputed boundary in Tarbaj and Mandera south around Burmayo to be verified by the two governors and area MPs with the support of National Government. All the other resolutions which suggests or demand posts or the stoppage of settlement in Mandera or Wajir have all being thrown out of the window. Degodia politicians were told they can never tie peace to jobs, political seats and any other form of grievances and that an unconditional peace must be guaranteed by either side under all circumstances. This was achieved after a day of drama and verbal altercations at Serena Hotel in which the Yes camp, led by the Naive and the Nacas Adan mohamd Nur and Mumad received deaths threats from one caller in Moyale who was put on speaker inside the hall. One elder who asked one of the most memorable question in the meeting is said to have asked Adan Mohamed Nur how it became possible for Wajir politicians to dictate whether Garres can create and establish New settlements in Mandera North??? Mumad in one instance was baffled by the question and was quoted to have asked for forgiveness. Elders warned both politicians that they were never asked to discuss politics or who is who is allowed to start new settlement . The matter has now been resolved and Garre delegates who intervened on behalf of the Garre voters are content with the new peace proposal and its now believed that Mumad and Adan Mohd Nura would have to kiss goodbye to their political careers. If there was any justice out there, Mumad and Mitita would be today suspended by their braces above a shark tank , two social outcasts rather than enjoying the privilege of being part of Garre elites and its an affront to decency that these monstrous guys continue to serve Mandera West and North constituents in such elevated capacity .
