BREAKING: The AS Elections have been suspended until after Spring Break! Write to us your thoughts on how well you think the AS Elections Commissioner handled this situation. Did they overreact? Are you going to vote again? Read the whole email here: As some of you may know there has been some concern about everyone receiving their ballot in their Seawolf.sonoma.edu e-mail. This concern led us to look at the list of potential voters that is generated. After review it seems there are several anomalies with the list that was generated of the potential voters and who is enrolled at Sonoma State University for the Spring of 2014. Because the integrity of the election and ensuring each student is given their opportunity to vote is of paramount importance, the AS Elections Commissioner has decided to suspend the current election, and to restart again after spring break. No candidate did anything wrong, but we want to be 100% sure of the composition of the electorate is correct so we can ensure the students of SSU that they have their opportunity to vote and elect their student leaders. The election will be started from scratch with the results from the current election being voided. We will re-start a new election period after spring break, with candidates beginning campaigning on Wed. March 26th and the election being conducted on April 2nd & 3rd - look in your Seawolf e-mail for your ballot. Our apologies for the inconvenience for those of you who already cast a ballot, we hope you and many more students will turn out to vote and support the candidate(s) of your choice on April 2nd and 3rd.
