BRIEF HIGHLIGHTS AT THE PNG UNIVERSITY OF TECHNOLOGY. The boycotting of classes commenced today. Students staged a peaceful protest march around the campus in their respective provincial groups. A 48 hours ultimatum was presented by the SRC to the government especially to Prime Minister Peter ONeill, newly appointed minister for OHE Delilah Gore and Foreign Affairs Minister Rimbink Pato to immediately act upon the Sevua Report to bring back legitimate VC Dr Albert Schram. The petition was received by interim Chancellor Sir Bogan Nagora on behalf of the State. Currently, students are taking full control of all the gates to monitor the movement of general public. Vehicles are restricted into the campus. The boycotting of classes is expected to continue with different approaches if government fail to come to compromise with the petition.
