I am an Everyday Tailor. At one time I was in the practice of tailoring. Today I teach it. I take pride in my everyday tailoring skills. Everyday Tailors are problem solvers. They don’t necessarily hand pad stitch the lapels in a man’s suit jacket or even construct men’s suits in house. What they do is far more important to you and I on a daily basis. They help make us look great year in and year out in whatever we choose to wear by making our clothes fit us better. They re-style (up-cycle) our clothing. They take it in and let it out. They guide us through making good clothing selections. They help us make our own custom clothing or make custom clothing for us when it is hard to find what we need off the rack. I once owned a tailor shop on Bainbridge Island, WA. While running the shop I boiled my marketing message down to 3 things that I offered to the general public. Great Fit. Quality Sewing.
