BRISTOL TBILISI FOUNDER MEMBER HONOURED Dr HENRY PARRY, founder member and former chairman of the Bristol Tbilisi Association has received the city’s highest International Award the International Medal Dr Henry Parry has given outstanding and innovative service to twinning in Bristol over 20 years, predominantly as a volunteer in an unpaid capacity. Henry Parry is a founder member of the Bristol Tbilisi Association, which manages the official twinning (in 1988) between the two cities, has been Chairman of the Association and stood down from the Executive Committee in 2008 after the successful 20th anniversary celebrations. Henry Parry was instrumental in developing the twinning, particularly through students placements at UWE, and through his contacts with the Tbilisi local authority and universities, he has helped promote educational opportunities, collaborative projects and economic development.
