BRYMO TO SUE KACHINGA AND MACKY2 FOR COPYRIGHT INFRIDGEMENT Nigerian recording artist Olawale Ashimi popularly known as Brymo said he is considering filing a lawsuit against two Zambian Musicians Macky 2 and Kachinga for copyright infringement in his career. Speaking to Zibani Zambia in a conversation in Nigeria last week, Brymos manager and long time friend Lanre Lawal and ceo of Budding Management Company, he narrated that nigerian artists have found sad reading on Zambian Online Media about the countrys artists illegal reproduction of other artists music concepts and making them their own. Lawal said in July 2012, his artist released a single titled good morning under a label called Chocolate city but was recently shocked after someone emailed Bryo a song done by Kachinga Chileshe also known as Pretty Boy and Mulaza Kaira aka Macky 2 titled manone whose concept is undoubtedly from Nigeria. Its really pathetic that you have artists who cant even perform internationally busy stealing from our hard work he. We spend sleepless nights in working to perfect and your niggas just jump on our beats and concept to make them their own lamented Lawal. He said his management team and the Nigerian Music firms are considering to travel to Lusaka specifically to hold talks with Zambian Music governance bodies over the matter and that if they will not be given proper explanation, the firm will without hesitation drug the duo to the law for copyright infringement. And when asked to add a voice to what his manager told Zibani Zambia at a Social gathering in Okokomaiko, Nigeria, he said its a shame that Zambian artists are busy killing themselves by imitating others instead of creating their own reputation. Brymo also took time to play the two songs on his iPhone to a Zibani Zambia reporter to make comparisons. Brymo who has been in the nusic industry since 2002 making hit songs like Oleku released a song called Goodmorning as a second single from his second studio album called The Son Of A Kapenta on April 16, 2012 and has released three albums in his solo career. Before pursuing a Solo career, Brymo while in secondary School formed a band together with three other friends which was called Alliens and in two years, he wrote over 85 songs for the band. Brymo is a proud winner of the 2012 hiphop awards recording of the year and 2012 Channel O music video awardss most gifted afro pop video of the year (Ara). He has also performed at Big Brother Africa Welcome Winner Party 2011, Rick Ross Private Party in Abuja, Club 11:45 reloaded in Kuala Lumpur Malaysia among others.
