BSSC will be conducting a gold coin donation fundraiser this week to support Bendigo FoodShare who have been extremely generous to the College. In order for FoodShare to continue after this year, they need to raise $100,000 per calendar year to cover operational expenses. This organisation continues to provide amazing support to our college community. They donate to our major activities, our Karen and Karrang Kunga homework clubs and provide food when available for other uses, which is of particular benefit to individual students who are experiencing impoverished circumstances. In addition the FoodShare provides food to many organizations throughout Bendigo and surrounding areas to assist families and individuals experiencing hard times. A Gold Coin donation will be requested from students at Advisor meetings and year 12 Assembly this coming Monday 20 October. It would be appreciated if you can encourage your child to contribute to this very worthy cause. Families are also welcome to personally donate and can do so on the Foodshare website bendigofoodshare.org.au/.
