BU11 Gold win Back to Back Vegas Championships The BU11 Gold team capped off a thrilling weekend in Vegas with a tremendous championship that will not soon be forgotten. The epitome of team play and supporting one another for a common goal was the theme of the weekend. After advancing to the finals and only allowing 1 goal along the way, the boys were up against a tough Fullerton Rangers side. During the final, the boys produced some of their best soccer all season but we have to remember, this is soccer, and despite their absolute domination and numerous chances, two defensive lapses rendered the boys 2-0 down with 5 minutes to go. Everything looked finished and over for the boys but then came the stuff of fairytales. With four minutes left, they got one goal back to make it 2-1 then with less than a minute remaining they were awarded a freekick at the edge of the box which they riffled home. The boys then dominated over time without a goal but got their just rewards winning on PKs. The win ensured Back To Back Vegas Championships for this team which is an amazing achievement! Coach Shawn commented, Congratulations Josh, Ryan, Carson, Elijah, Brent, Bence, Oliver, Solomon, Marcel, Andrew, Phoenix, Wiki, Zack, Georgie, Ethan and thanks to coach Shane for all your help this season. The boys thoroughly deserved the win and I couldnt be happier for them! Well done all, truly awesome stuff and an excellent example of never giving up!
