BUDGET AND MANAGEMENT ANALYST BROWARD COUNTY OFFICE OF MANAGEMENT AND BUDGET Fort Lauderdale, Florida Analysts serve as fiscal and management consultants to agencies and staff advisors to the County Administrators Office. Each analyst is assigned a number of County agencies and/or capital programs and are responsible for coordinating and developing recommendations on resource allocation activities and issues throughout the year. In addition to development and administration of the $3-4 billion annual budget, analysts work on special projects. Examples of these projects include: o preparing reports for the County Administrator and County Commission o developing funding plans for capital improvement programs; o analyzing proposed service enhancements and/or service reductions; o conducting fee studies and developing fee recommendations; o assessing the fiscal impact of County initiatives, ordinances and pending State and Federal legislation; o analyzing agency processes to identify opportunities to streamline; o assisting agencies in development and improvement of performance measures. As management and analytical skills develop, Budget and Management Analysts are eligible for promotion to higher-level positions. Former Analysts hold Program Manager, Assistant Director and the Director positions in the Office of Management and Budget.
