BUDGET UPDATE: Federal Government cuts $30K pa operational funding from ALEC along with many other organisations across the country - this program has operated for more than a decade and the cut is effective immediately. Ouch. Next - NT Government (EPA) cuts $70K pa after 2014-15. This means that in 18 months - 70+% of the current income from ALEC will vanish. Community Garden, Biodiversity Matters, EcoFair, COOLmob, participating in submissions to improve policy decisions and supporting community responses to the gas and nuclear industry are all now under threat.
