Dear volunteer fire dept. although Im sure some aspects of of volunteer fire fighting can be very exhilarating I am writing in response to pictures I have recently viewed on Facebook. Please understand that while Im sure it is necessary to take pictures from time to time for training purposes you can imagine my sheer anger and upset at seeing pictures you captured in the last couple of days of burning one of my families homes. While it was at their request I am not sure that it is appropriate to place these photos on Facebook. Change for some of us is hard and even though I know it must happen I dont particularly like to watch it go up in smoke in such a public fashion - for some of us the thought of seeing that home levelled has been very disheartening, but to see it on here like it was a side show makes me wonder what kind of policies are in effect in regards to handling future calls - do you take pictures at fire calls and place them on here as well or is this just a one time special event - Im glad you enjoyed it, however I did not!
