BURDEKIN HOUSE, Macquarie Street 1933 - further to a photo I posted of the outside of Burdekin House earlier this month and keeping in line with previous patterned ceiling photos this is the drawing room, also known as the ballroom, in Burdekin House. The photo was probably taken not long before the building was demolished in 1933 to make way for St Stephens Church. Also a closer view of the outside of the house taken in 1933. What a shame this building was demolished rather than restored. (Historic Houses Trust)
