BURGESS AND EAGLES ENJOY THE VIEW 61-34 As you gather around your Christmas tree this holiday season, take a few moments to relax and really think about Forge Hoops in in-county games the past few years. Now I admit it hasnt always been happy thoughts and drreams, but right now if you put those dreams to music, all youll hear is Bobby Brown singing Cant touch this! Blowouts are sometimes hard to watch, and its clear in Stafford County that will be the norm at least for this year. Forge hosted an over matched Mountain View team last night and came away with a 61-34 victory. The Eagles were led by The Man in the Middle, Senior Winston Burgess who tossed in 19 points, Fellow senior Marco Haskins had a dozen of his own in the win. Johns-town was rockin last night with a pretty impressive GREEN WALL and they were probably more disinterested rather than disappointed by the second half as the Eagles used a running transition game to pull away early in this one. After the game Senior Isiah Williams stopped by to chat about his role on this years team, The Eagles visit Conference 4 rival Riverbend on Friday night with a tip time of 7pm. TIPS & TURNOVERS: As I said it was a large GREEN WALL who did their best to stay interested during the game last night, but they did have fun. During the second quarter Senior Marco Haskins scored on a baseline drive with a scoop for two off the window. As the teams ran down the other end of the floor a student in the GREEN WALL exclaimed, HES A GOD, much to the delight of several fans and it definately had the scorers table chuckling. In the second half, with the result firmly decided, a student decided he would try and have a long distance conversation with Mountain View coach Kevin Brown. During a stoppage of play the student exclaimed, Hey Coach Brown, why you mad bro? Its all about having fun in the GREEN WALL!
