BURGUNDY CYCLING Hi Sarah, Well, weve been home a week now...... We both really enjoyed our Burgundy cycling holiday. We were most impressed with the bikes ( the front attaching bags were so useful !). We thought the maps/directions were easy to read (we only lost our way a couple of times!). Your presentation to us on the first day was informative and interesting. The accommodation was good, particularly Hotel La Chouette (Suzanne puts on a great breakfast). We really enjoyed the degustation evening at Olivier Leflaire ( we met Olivier the next morning in the vineyard for a mini workshop - what an entertaining man!) After a month of travelling, with something planned every day, it was wonderful to just sit on the bike and cycle at our leisure. Fortunately, the weather was kind to us. Being in Burgundy during the harvest was wonderful ! To finish off our time in beautiful Beaune with the private tour of the Hospice, was pretty special. Very moving,in fact. The only negative was the poor exchange rate (euro against the AUD), which made our 4 days of cycling quite expensive. Thanks for your professionalism and attention to detail, Sarah.
