“BUSINESS TIP OF THE DAY” – TIRED AND/OR WORN OUT? We spoke with a business owner, leader, manager and team member group commonly referred to as senior citizens yesterday and, inevitably, the conversation turned to future options. PROCESS: One member of the group said, “I’m retired,” but he really isn’t. Another said, “I don’t think I’ll ever retire because I love what I do.” Another stated, “I’m in the middle. My kids want me to get out of the way and my friends tell me you still have a lot to contribute to what you do.” TIMELINE: So, when is the time to find another path forward? A time` when you know you can continue to make tangible contributions but may evolve into something you always wanted to do but were too busy making a living! DON’T PUSH BACK: You would think that the PUSH BACK on this subject would be monumental. In fact, there were more examples of OPEN MINDS toward options than we have seen in a long, LONG time.
