BUSTEED INT’L REUNION – AUGUST 30-31, 2014 AT OMAHA, NEBRASKA 3RD EMAIL UPDATE Time for a reunion update for all the BUSTEED clans! We have several items of importance to communicate. First, we have tentative and preliminary indications there will be representation from Ireland and Australia in addition to our “Nebraska” clan, the “Oak Ridge, Tennessee” clan, the “Scranton, Pennsylvania” clan, the “Massachusetts” clan, and the “New York” clan. It is still very early so I know we will hear from more….the value proposition and the curiosity is definitely building. A site has been selected at the Regency Lodge in Omaha and a contract is being negotiated for rooms and meals. It is close to the airport and the downtown. Great facility! We are adding two new people to our existing initial committee of myself, Amy Blaser, and Rick Christenson; they are Kerry Busteed of Sydney, Australia and Todd Busteed from Chicago, IL. So now we have input from “down under” and Todd is a professional master of ceremonies. A highlight to report, Paul Allen, the ex-CEO and founder of Ancestry has agreed to make a presentation at our BUSTEED reunion! The subject of his talk and details will be forthcoming but I know all of you will find it fascinating and most interesting. We are extremely fortunate to have someone of his talent on our agenda. I personally plan to complete DNA testing to explore further the BUSTEED name and history. Certainly I will share my findings at the reunion with all who are interested in learning more about our BUSTEED ancestors. Enough for now. Just remember these key items: (1) Note your calendars for August 30-31, 2014 at Omaha, Nebraska. (2) Pass along this information to any members of your clan interested in genealogy. (3) If you have other email addresses I should include for distribution, please send. (4) Advise me if you would like to be on our planning committee. (5) Importantly, let me know what you would like to hear or do at the reunion; I can already promise lots of pictures and stories and interesting BUSTEEDS!
