BW WOMEN’S SPORT: ZEBRAS TAKE ON SOUTH AFRICA; GOLFERS HEAD FOR KENYA Botswana senior national womens football team, the (female) Zebras, are to take on the Banyana Banyana of South Africa in an international friendly match today in South Africa, to be held at the Isak Steyl Stadium. The Banyana Banyana are formidable foes having just come off a 13-0 win against Comoros The friendly is preparation of the 2014 African Womens Championship, which will be held in Namibia from October 11-25. The Namibia tournament will be used as qualification for the 2015 FIFA Womens World Cup, with the top three sides qualifying for the finals in Canada. And in golf, three ladies are scheduled to depart this weekend for Kenya, where they will represent Botswana at the All-Africa Challenge Trophy (AACT), which is to be held at Muthaiga Golf Club in Nairobi, Kenya from 10 to 12 June. After a good performance at the just-ended Triangular ladies gold tournament, the three: Ouname Mhotsha, Minkie Molatlhegi and Tiny Kgatlwane express confidence in taking on their next assignment. The trio qualified for the Africa challenge after taking position one, two and three respectively at the just-ended Botswana ladies golf open, in which Botswana, Zimbabwe and Zambia took part.
