Back by popular demand, another Rep Introduction! --------------------------------------- INTRODUCING: Alejandra Figueroa, Junior Representative to the Board of Trustees Class of 2016 From Clinton, Mississippi and Bronx, NY Favorite summer reading: The Help, by Kathryn Stockett (I just finished the book, and the setting is in Jackson, MS, which is close to where my family lives, so Im really excited to watch the movie and then go drive through some of the sites where the movie was filmed!) What Ive been up to this summer: Ive been in the city interning for a law firm in Midtown, and I also served as an RA for ASEP at Barnard. Being in NYC for the summer is amazing. I will now be spending time with my family in Mississippi until the end of the summer (gotta love that Southern cuisine!) What Im excited about for this fall: I am incredibly excited to take on this position on SGA and to have the chance to work with Ashiana (Senior Rep to the BOT). Aside from the duties my position requires, I am also excited to take part in Rep Council meetings and be in the know as to whats going on throughout the year. I love that being on SGA requires so much interaction with campus groups/organizations and individual students overall - its a great way to continually learn about Barnard.
