Back from an incredible week out in the Eastern Sierras hunting mule deer with my dad and great friend (called him Uncle G since I was little)! Words cant even describe how much work was put in this past week from the miles we hiked to the hours we glassed looking for deer. All the hard work paid off! Gary Watters demonstrated tenacious vision and veteran instinct day in and day out to help us harvest these great bucks, so thankful for you! My dad (Larry Merrell), after making an incredible shot and getting his buck early in the week stayed the next 5 days with me relentlessly pursuing another big muley. His constant encouragement and years of hunting wisdom kept me going and ready for the opportunity of a lifetime that presented itself early Thursday morning. Through all the highs and lows of the week I found myself thankful the most for the priceless bonding time with my dad. Hes such a hero to me! Bringing home big mulies was a bonus! It was a hunt and experience that I will never forget! Heres a few more pics from the week.
