Back from the Town Hall meeting with Rep. Reed and once again I - TopicsExpress

Back from the Town Hall meeting with Rep. Reed and once again I was not impressed. It is really good to live in a country where we have the right to confront our representatives and I pray we are able to retain that right. It bothers me to listen to a politician blow his own horn and tell you what he thinks you want to hear and then after showing up late they leave exactly on time. It was nice to see that there were others there that were informed about some of the things happening in Washington and that they were bold enough to speak out. The Congressman was versed on most of the issues and tried to address each one that was raised. I was glad to hear he was against Common Core as was the NYS Assemblymans chief of staff that was there. There was one teacher there that was in favor of CC and tried to defend it but I was able to successfully challenge his disinformation. The Congressman and the Assemblymans CoS were clueless (or at least they said they were) about Common Core being a UN program. I did explain that though it has been promoted as a US DoE program it is in reality a part of the UNs Agenda 21, another issue they Seemed clueless about. Mr. Reed said he was pro 2nd amendment and when the issue of the Ft. Hood shooting and gun control came up he defended the 2nd Amendment, poorly but he did defend it. He gave what he said was the one common denominator in all mass shootings, that being mental illness. After he finished his defense I jumped in before he could just move on to another subject and pointed out that there were in fact two other very prominent common denominators, one being that All took place in Gun Free Zones and that All ended within Moments of another firearm being introduced into the incident. I did not bring up that ALL the shootings were also done by Left Leaning assailants. After the meeting was over the chief of staff came and spoke to me at which time I brought up the Convention of States movement which he seemed dumbfounded that I would know anything about. He was non committal on the subject. He began to speak to me about Common Core and the publishing company producing the materials at which time I began to explain that all but one textbook company in America are either fully owned or operated by The Muslim Brotherhood and that was why our kids are being taught that Muslims are an indigenous people of America. At the mention of CAIR, The Muslim Brotherhood infiltration of the Federal Gov as part of the Brotherhoods Project, which was discovered during the Holy Land Foundation Trial, he ended the conversation. Several people came to me after the meeting wanting more information on CC and wanting to know where I get my information about the other issue I raised, I was encouraged by the interest of more local people. I hope and pray that the Church in America wakes up soon and that Pastors will awaken to their responsibility to prepare their people to steward the land the Lord has given them.
