Back in a day, one person would read from Torah scroll and another - TopicsExpress

Back in a day, one person would read from Torah scroll and another person would translate verse by verse, to spoken language, which was aramaic. Some parts of Torah were intentionally left untranslated, including story of Ruven and Bilha and Birkat Kohanim. Ruvens story out of respect to Yakov and birkat kohanim not to confuse anyone that God has face or any other part of body. (Last mishna in Megila) Mazal tov! Praise to Almighty, just finished tractate of mishna, my second masehet i finished on a train since i started working.
