Back in middle school, the counselor had a saying she often repeated. Excuses are for the weak and incompetent. Something like that. I strongly disagree. An excuse Is a reason true or false that pardons your mistakes or wrongdoings. It takes a creative mind to come up with good excuses (emphasis on Good). It makes you more cunning. An out of the box kinda person. It also shows that you have an understanding on gaining sympathy. Therefore, you become good at manipulating people emotionally. This isnt necessarily a good thing, but it is a skill in the art of persuasion and even advertising and propaganda. Lawyers need to appeal to the jurys emotions to win cases. And sometimes all a defense attorney needs to do is build up a good excuse as to why some guy isnt guilty. Just a late night thought train. I apparently need sleep
