Back in our college days with Santhosh Ananddram and many of us used to discuss the pros and cons of kannada movies and also many a times we were arguing in favour of kannada movies with some of our friends who always supported other language films. It was so unfortunate that we ended up losing in the argument. At those times Santhosh was telling that he should make a movie for those helpless kannada fans who always faced this situation.
