Back safely from a long weekend trip to Atlanta with Julie Kay Odom. I say safely because it was touch and go there late Thursday night north of Mobile, AL. Traveling up I-65 and my Jeep decides to sputter and go dead at 70MPH! We limp it to the next exit at 45MPH going dead a few times to try and buy a code reader to find out what code the Jeeps computer was giving. Found a Goodyear repair shop nearby but had to backtrack a bit and spend the night in a hotel. Much $$$$ later and almost a days delay, we manged to have a fun weekend in Atlanta. Sad thing is...I had the oil changed in my Jeep before I left and had them check it over. The going dead issue was unavoidable and they couldnt have known it would happen but a few other issues the Goodyear found that were fairly serious could have been found and we probably would not have ventured as far without repairing them first. Now....to rest and recover from the long weekend! LOL
