Back to School 2013 Adopt –A – Child Instructions Dear Friends, Thank you so much for helping us with our Back to School program. We are asking you to “Adopt-A-Child” by purchasing the supplies required by their individual school as they start the 2013-2014 school year. We have estimated the cost of this effort to be approximately $50 per child, depending on their age group and needs. This would include the purchase of a backpack. Our suggestion would be to purchase the supplies first, then purchase the backpack, which can range in price from $8 - $20. CAM will be purchasing all uniforms this year. By mid July, you will receive a tag with the child’s information on it. The front of the tag clearly shows the child’s name, grade, school and district. The back of the tag has basic instructions on where to look for the supplies and how to get the supply list if your local store does not carry that list. It also explains that the backpacks need to be returned to either the downtown or satellite location – by noon on Monday, August 5, 2013. Children will pick up their backpacks and supplies the week of August 19th. Please make sure the tag is attached securely to the backpack and all supplies are put inside the backpack. If you need an extra bag for supplies, please make sure it is securely attached to the backpack and clearly marked with the child’s name, grade and school. Each tag is clearly marked for Downtown or N.W. which indicates where that child will be picking up their supplies. The administrative staff at CAM will separate the backpacks and distribute them to the right location. Just drop them off at your most convenient location and we will do the rest! Please let us know how many children you or your group can adopt. With your support we are hoping to help 300 children with their school supplies for the 2013-2014 school year.
