Back to my house in Korea at 11:00 pm Wednesday night. Never will get used to the fact that the sun never goes down, but I still lose a day. Left Charleston at 9:00 am on Tuesday, so the total trip was only 24 hours door to door. Not so bad. Tak met me at the airport and helped with the bags. Thank you, Tak! We shared a bottle (actually three bottles) of makkolli--with gol-baeng-I (골뱅이무침) at the corner restaurant. Yum! Didnt feel like home till I went there. Flights home on time and not nearly as bad as I had them built up in my mind. Lucked out. I got a window seat and the aisle seat next to me was empty--all the way from Chicago to Tokyo! Living right, I guess. Miss all my friend back home tremendously! Love you all. My summer was great because of YOU!
