Backpackpalooza Downriver Henry Ford Wyandotte Hospital is partnering with local nonprofit organization Operation: Kid Equip, as well as Affinity Group Credit Union, to provide area children with free backpacks, school supplies and books for the upcoming school year at an event known as Backpackpalooza Downriver. The one-day event will start at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 10, 2013 at the hospital, 2333 Biddle Ave., Wyandotte, MI 48192, and will run while supplies last. Free backpacks and school supplies provided by the three partnering organizations will be distributed to school-age children.
