Backward-never,forward-never : Years back , the NTA did a documentary on the life of Mr President which took them to the Yoruba Community where he served as class teacher during NYSc ,the people of the community were busy asking for his personal contribution to their school that was seen to lacking a lot of things. I also remember vividly the manner with which many Nigerians jubilant end upon his coming as a President of Nigeria with Huge certificate and academic achievement ,unfortunately now Nigerians do not see the efficacy of having someone like him on the driving seat of power - as education sector is the most-hard-hit. Both the teachers/lecturers, students and graduates in the labour market are been toyed around or even killed . Late Festus Iyayi, applicants of nis recruitment, students killed by boko haram in north-east and now mistreatment of Asup issues - are all of my concern. Many now believe as govt has emphasized - that politics is more of concern than anything else,and all the assumed educated ones in power now are at the forefront . So I ask , what if a stalk illiterate assumes power in Nigeria ?, are we going to be in reverse gear or what ?
