Bad Parenting moment; A couple comes in with a child of 8 years old around 11:30 pm. No one under 21 is allowed in the saloon after 8 pm. I informed them that the child could not stay. Their reply was, well, where are we supposed to go? I informed them that the lobby was open and thinking to myself might be a more appropriate setting for a child. They said ok and I continued working. It was still really busy and as I was cleaning up around the tables I noticed a jacket thrown on a table. Upon further observation I noticed a pair of sneakers under the table. Their idea of handling the situation was to hide their child under a jacket while they got more drunk. Meanwhile a bunch of college kids were getting drunk and making out right next to this child. Wow...just wow.
