Word of the Day 1 Peter 4:15-16 NASB “By no means let any of you suffer as a murderer, or thief, or evildoer, or a troublesome meddler; but if anyone suffers as a Christian, let him not feel ashamed, but in that name let him glorify God.” As believers, children of God, our Father does not want us to suffer the consequences of sinful behavior. He desires to help us avoid that by teaching us the truth that sets us free. Suffering as a Christian is a different story all together. His strong grace is ours at that time as much as ever. When we have a godly response to the rejection we face for living according to the Holy Spirit’s leading, God is glorified. We have nothing to be ashamed of in these circumstances. If we are suffering as a result of sinful behavior, to our shame, God is not glorified. However, in His infinite grace, he will use even those times to perfect His child which will bring glory to the Father in the end. Please do not fall into the trap of thinking it does not matter how you live. God does love His children no matter what, but His goal and desire is for them to live godly lives. The greatest part is He is present within His children, to live His life through them as they surrender their will to Him by faith. The end result of surrendering by faith is obedience which brings glory to God. 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 NASB “Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and that you are not your own? For you have been bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body.” Have a Blessed Weekend.
