His ideas are straight from stoned-out-of-their-gourds libertarianism. Briefly tempting, but horrifying once you realize the implications. BHAHAHAHAHA! Like hes come up with an idea that wasnt his fathers lunacy before. The GOP has a huge political advantage in that the 65+ population largely votes for their candidates. But absent massive policy changes, Rand Paul is almost guaranteed to do worse than the average GOP candidate among those people. He wants to balance the budget tomorrow. The only way to do that is to cut (heavily) Medicare and Social Security benefits for people already on the programs. How many seniors are going to vote for him when they find out he wants to end their gravy train? My guess is a lot fewer than typically vote GOP.
