Baltic Driver + German Car = Lip Flutter The true Baltic experience! I recently broke all my previous speed records as passenger in an automobile, both regarding top speed on public roads and average speed on a long journey. Dig this: Tallinn –Riga ( 308 km) on 2h 47 minutes a dark and drizzling November evening! Would normally take 4-4½ h. We for sure passed 250 cars. How? Take a Porsche Cayenne, 60 L of gas, and a Latvian driver having constant business conversations on an I-phone without hands-free. Then you achieve this speed (ca 109 km/h on average with tops of 180 km/h) If you did not know it: I opened the window once during the trip to throw out the remains of my apple after eating it and part of it flew back into the car. I also suffered some serious lip flutter in the process. Were the police interested? Well, Baltic drivers have a sixth sense for where the cops are located and there is no agreement on mutual acknowledgement of photo robot evidence between Estonia and Latvia.
