Ban IBN News channel-Shame on you congress paid news channel.. IBN NEWS:Modi moves from one historical controversy to the other Read more at: ibnlive.in/news/modi-moves-from-one-historical-controversy-to-the-other/433584-37-64.html?utm_source=ref_article IBN AUTHOR IS SUCH A FOOLISH ONE AND HERSELF DOES NOT KNOW HISTORY- Courtesy a post by a citizen. 1)Modi described Chandragupta Maurya as a member of the Gupta dynasty “If we remember the Gupta Empire, we remember King Chandra Gupta” Modi categorically said, “When we remember the Gupta dynasty, the politics of Chandragupta inspires us.” Ignorant but educated intellectuals like karan thapar should know that there were not one but three famous Chandraguptas in ancient Indian history – one in the Maurya dynasty and two in the Gupta dynasty. The Chandragupta that Modi talked about is clearly Chandragupta II or Chandragupta Vikramaditya (son of Samudragupta and the grandson of Chandragupta I) under whom the Gupta age flourished. So, who does not know history? ‘Educated’ writer or ‘not well educated and well read’ Modi? 2)Allegation 2: Taxila is in Bihar, said Modi “If we remember the Gyan Yug, we are reminded of Taxila and Nalanda” Modi clearly said that when we remember the Gyan Yuga we remember Nalanda and Taxila. Is it not a fact that both Nalanda and Taxila are almost thought of together, much like someone saying ‘When we think of British education we think of Oxbridge.’ Does anyone say Oxford or Cambridge? No. It is always Oxford and Cambridge. its important to know that taxila was part of maurya kingdom. It is my challenge to anyone to prove Modi said Taxila is in Bihar. 3)Allegation 3: Modi brought Alexander to Bihar and killed him on Ganga First of all, Modi never killed Alexander in his speech. Second, he never said Alexander came to Bihar because had he said that, he would have contradicted what he eventually went on to say. While talking about the glory of Bihar, Modi implied that such was the greatness of Bihar that its rulers had the might to halt a conqueror like Alexander. To illustrate that he narrated lines from a poem that said Alexander drowned in Ganga. Let me also point out that this is not a poem that Modi wrote, so the words were clearly someone else’s. Additionally, the reference to Ganga was symbolic. It conveyed the message of how the mighty Nanda Empire, whose capital was on the banks of Ganga, scared Alexander away. To add a bit of geography, if you are headed to Patna from the north-western provinces, Pataliputra will obviously be on the other side of Ganga. Will writer dare refute that the Nanda dynasty was ruling in Pataliputra when Alexander defeated Porus? Will writer deny that despite defeating Porus, Alexander’s army refused to move further ahead fearing the Nanda rulers, thus making them retreat? When they too know the truth, one wonders what wrong did Modi say? 4)modis speech about view of patel on woman resrevation- I am sharing a small anecdote. In 1919 Sardar Sahib was a counsellor in AMC. That time he got a proposal for women reservation. See his vision and see what all he could have given us. Even see urban town planning. He did lots as Mayor here. bjp has already given some historians account and i cant find the link for the same but this is true 5)modis claims abt rs-$ issue:it was only made to reflect the depreciating value of rupee vs intenational currency so this writer is a total biased one, guys look at the facts and decide for urself who is correct and who is wrong? 6)Modis mistake aabt jansangh founder its a correct that modi made a mistake.but he realised his mistake quickly and appolised for the same.can a human being not have a slip of tongue?or is modi not a humann being.? ps:by the way in elction campaign in every democracy(USA,UK..)political parties do make some wrong(delibartely or automatiCaly),and when addressing a huge ralley witout notebooks(which shejada does),there can be some errors somewher but one has to look at the context and message(more importantly)
