Band der Woche 14: E Nomine!! Ok, I posted some of their songs last week or something but.. they are soooooo cool!! This bio is kind of crappy.. a blend of my old one & some stolen from Wikipedia (Link will be after I post a song because FB is weird!!) Hope you all like these guys.. if not.. please tell me when youd like to post your own bio of a band!! I would LOVE that!!! :D E Nomine started a new era in dance music with their Vater Unser (the Lords Prayer) in 1999 with producers Christian Weller & Friedrich Fritz Graner. Their music, which they call monumental dance, is an unusual combination of trance, techno, and vocals which closely resemble Gregorian singing and chanting which seemed to hit home with audiences. How else could one explain the jump from zero to 14 on the sales charts? From there, the title rose further. The hypnotic narrator voice who keeps repeating the Lords Prayer draws you in and wont let you escape; then you realize that the voice is familiar: it is the original synchronous voice of Robert de Niro (used in Germany). De Niro himself was involved at the start of the E Nomine project. The film Sleeper, where he plays a priest, inspired the producers to musicalize the Vater Unser and utilize De Niros syncro voice. The project may now find a continuation in the form of a complete album. Das Testament is dedicated to the subject god and church, but in a very modern way. The synchro voice of De Niro is used here again to generate comfortable shivers; additional German synchrovoices of the following actors: Al Pacino, Jack Nicholson, Nicolas Cage and John Travolta. Das Testament was available in a limited edition version, which included a bonus CD with a musicalized biblical Christmas Story. E Nomine fends off the accusation of sacrilege by using the bible scripts true to the source and unmodified. After several years with no news of the project, e-mail correspondence between a fan and Chris Tentum (Weller) revealed that the group was in the process of producing new material, due for release some time in the near future. A year after this came to light, a new single from E Nomine appeared on Amazon.de entitled Heilig,[1] due for release on December 28, 2007. The release date was pushed to mid-February 2008. Due to problems with their publisher, hard copies were never shipped, and the song was only made available for download. In the year 2012, the founder of E Nomine Weller and Graner started their new project, Schlafes Bruder. Its a self-proclaimed revolution of E Nomine. Its a hardrock band which uses Latin chorus. The theme of their first album will be the crusades. The singer is Graner himself, who sang also Heilig and Excalibur, the last two known (but never officially released) E Nomine songs. Both songs are on the first Schlafes Bruder album, released on 22.03.2013. E Nomine releases: Das Testament (1999) PolyGram Records Finsternis(The Darkness) (2002) PolyGram Records Die Prophezeiung(The Prophecy) (2003) Polydor Records Das Beste aus... Gottes Beitrag und Teufels Werk (2004) Universal Records Ok, this vid is kind of geeky.. Kingdom Hearts.. lol! Whatever!! Still a good song!! https://youtube/watch?v=iHahMGj657Q Wiki page = en.wikipedia.org/wiki/E_Nomine YOU NEED TO LOVE THIS BAND!!! ;)
