Banning Christmas Celebrations What a shame that christmas is under such controversy. Isnt this a part of our culture? Whether we celebrate it as a holiday or a holy day it is a celebration that has been such a big part of our lives. We should be able to continue our traditions such as christmas, hannakah, kwanza or the like. without fear of offending those who chose not to. Why not share the history and folklore of these holidays with our public school children. Most families celebrate in some way or another, learning about the origins can be valuable lessons. When the celebrations are banned in schools, I wonder what message is being sent to our children, do they wonder if Their holiday is wrong, bad, should they be ashamed! Lets celebrate share, respect and accept each other, like we have done in the past so our children can enjoy the holidays as well as pass on their traditions.
