Baramulla traders announce boycott of Israeli products as a protest Baramulla: The traders in north Kashmir’s Baramulla on Wednesday held a strong anti-Israel demonstration and announced boycott of Israeli products. The traders, under the banner of Traders Federation Baramulla, took out a rally from the Main Market and marched on the town’s streets. Eyewitnesses said that the agitating traders were carrying placards and a banner. “They were shouting pro-Palestine and anti-Israel slogans,” witnesses said, adding the protesters also raised slogans in favour of Islam. The protesters were led by the General Secretary of Baramulla Traders Federation, Er. Tariq Ahmad Mughloo. The protesters slammed Muslim rulers who have maintained silence over innocent killings in Gaza. The protesters expressed their solidarity with Palestinians and residents of Gaza. On the occasion, the traders also announced boycott of Israeli products. “We will not sell or buy products manufactured in Israel. They include Coca Cola, Fanta, Milkybar, Maggi etc.,” a member of the Baramulla Traders Federation told GNS. He said they have prepared a list of the products which are manufactured in Israel and the list would be available on all the shops in Baramulla markets. The traders also presented a memorandum to Deputy Commissioner Baramulla Farooq Ahmad Lone. “In the memorandum, we mentioned the products manufactured in Israel,” he said. (GNS)
