Barbara Steele asked We have a 3 yr old Fawn Great Dane. We got her about 1 1/2 yrs ago. Problem is we can not let her off leash to go outside and do her business or she will run away thru the neighborhood. We tie her out daily but we want her to be free to explore the yard. We can not afford obedience school or a fenced yard. We think she was abused to some extent before we got her. She is very loving and we give her all the attention. We are afraid she will get hit crossing the road. She will finally get in the truck when we go get her and she is exhausted. Has anyone had this experience and how do you correct it. We had mother and daughter Merles that lived 12 yrs each and did not have this problem.
