Barcelona and Referees are like ONGA Barcelona!!! Referees helping hand. Fact: Fc Barcelona for the past six(6) seasons and running, have been on the favourite side of the referees in the Uefa Champion league. Within these period of years,an opposing team had gotten a RED CARD through fair or foul means when they play against Barcelona in the knockout stages of the CL. Break-down 1.2008/2009 CL season against Lyon. Lyon got their first share of the cake during the second leg in the round of 16th knock out stages at the camp nou. 90+1 Juninho (Lyon) was shown a second yellow card and was dismissed. I cant go on in this same season without making mention of how Chelsea was treated in the hands of referee Tom Ovriebo,against the same opponent Barca,that was in the semi finals. This match, I can boldly say is the match the blues will never forget about it..Asisie paa nie?(cheating at its best). 2. 2009/2010 CL season against Mourihnos inter Milan: In the second leg of the semi finals at the camp Nou,Thiago Motta (Internazionale) was dismissed in the 28th minute. The Inter No.8 was shown a straight red card after foul on sergio Busquet. Busquet made the foul looked like Jet li jumping from a 10 storey building in a produced Hollywood movie.An acted dive which led to the dismissal of the midfielder. 3.2010/2011 Season against Arsenal in the round of 16. This really takes the cake..whaaat!!! Arsenal came to the Camp Nou for the 2nd leg of the CL round of 16 with an advantage over Barca,because of their 2-1 win at the Emirate. Barca however took the lead through their talisman lionel messi at the return encounter at the Camp Nou.Arsenal later on equalize via Sergio Busquet own goal. As it stood Arsenal was leading on a 3-2 aggregate,and there came the ref..not here as I tot he might have said in his head at the time. Van Persie in the 56th min was ridiculously shown a second yellow card and was dismissed. The rest..I guess you all know what happened. And that didnt just and there. 4. That same season 2010/2011 Cl season against Madrid at the Bernabeu.. Mourihnos Madrid got his icing on the cake. On what was seen as a clear challenge for the ball by pepe on Dani Alves,a well acted (dramatize) dive by the later resulted in the sent off of the real Madrid defender on the 61st minutes. Point of note All the goals scored that evening came after the red card. That cast my mind back against the same fate Mourihnos Chelsea suffered against Barcelona in 2006, when Asel Del Horno was dismissed. 5. 2011/2012 semi final second league against Chelsea at the cam nou. 37 Terry (Chelsea) was dismissed.The Chelsea captain is dismissed for a challenge on Alexis Sánchez. The visitors have just conceded and are now down to ten men. A tough night has just got a lot tougher. That was the words of the commentator at the time. 2013/2014 CL season. 1/16th first leg against City. New comers in this round, Manchester City got their turn. 53 Demichelis (Man. City) was dismissed. 2nd leg at the Nou camp: 78Zabaleta (Man. City) was shown a second yellow card and was dismissed. My question is why should it always be so? Toni Kusi!!!
