#Turkish Popular Front organizes sit-in in Damascus in solidarity with #Syria Sep 11, 2013 Damascus, (#SANA) – A number of Turkish and Syrian youths organized a sit-in on Wednesday in front of the UN Development Programme (UNDP) headquarters in Damascus to show support for Syria in the face of US threats against it. Participants delivered a statement from the Turkish Popular Front in Syria to UN media advisor in Damascus Khaled al-Masri, calling for supporting the Syria people against attempts to attack their country. The statement said that the government of the Justice and Development Party opened Turkish territories for use in aggression against Syria, calling upon the Turkish people to stand up to their government and protest this. Participants said that this activity aims to show solidarity with the Syrian people, saying that the Turkish Justice and Development Party is fascist and subservient to the United States, noting that recent protests showed that this party practices tyranny and oppression to the point of murdering peaceful protestors. sana.sy/eng/21/2013/09/11/502003.htm
