Barcelona and Spain defender Gerard Pique let slip that Cesc Fabregas is set to seal his move back to England as a deal is already done. Chelsea are the clear favourites to sign the playmaker, possibly as a replacement for the departing Frank Lampard, however Arsenal, Manchester United and Liverpool have all also been linked. The 27-year-old may wait until after the World Cup, which starts a week today, before finalising his move to Stamford Bridge – however Pique reveals the finances are sorted. While the microphones were rolling ahead of a national team press conference, Fabregas’ Barca team mate Pique told Spain boss Vicente del Bosque that a £30million deal is already in place. [Cesc Fabregas] told me [the deal] is done. He’s already leaving, he told me that it is €33million.” Del Bosque replies by saying: “Poor president (in reference to Club President Josep Maria Bartomeu). He can’t win for losing.”
