New German restaurant and beer hall in midtown Manhattan. Look forward to lifting a stein and munching on a pretzel. Down the block from Lord and Taylor. The spot serves up wursts, schnitzel and pretzels, along with a variety of German beers on tap. The currywurst is a good snack to share on its own ($8.99) or add fries with mayo as a meal ($12.99). Also to share: the obatzda, a traditional Bavarian cheese spread topped with onion for $10.99. From the variety of sausages, one recommendation from co-owner Keith Reichenbach: the käse-wurst, a bratwurst with cheese inside, which is served with German potato salad, red cabbage salad and sauerkraut ($17.99). For something different, try German macaroni and cheese with bacon topped with crunchy onion ($15.99). —Willa Plank Reichenbach Hall; 5 West 37th Street, between Fifth and Sixth avenues; Sunday to Wednesday noon to 2 a.m., Thursday to Saturday noon to 4 a.m.; 212-302-7744.
