Barn Kitty Update for 26 November 2014: Hi all, hope your turkeys are thawing and the pies are made! According to Tim and Linda it was a good day at the barn. They had the duty and enjoyed the kitties immensely. The stalls were snug and dry and lots of kitties out and about. First I have to correct something I have been saying in the updates. It is not Faith that Susie is giving grief to. It is Lacy. I’m confusing kitties. Faith is our kitty with an almost all white face and is Christian’s sister. Both of them have seven toes on their front paws. We’re still going to retrain Susie not to pick on anyone. More good news this morning. Tim tells me that Linda was working in stall two for quite a while and Smoke laid on one of the shelves and watched her the entire time (without fleeing or hiding). Now that is progress! Well, the raccoons found our new entrance we dug yesterday. The water bowl was muddy and all the food was gone. Hope Cali and Pumpkin also found the new entrance. We might have to rethink this if the raccoons keep coming in. Linda also took another quilt up to the barn for the girl kitties who hang out in stall two. Now, both stalls have something the kitties can snuggle down into when it gets cold. We sure are spoiling them. . . Tim also went to the contractor who did the new driveway and has them coming back to fix the problems. They are going to scrape off much of the gravel (so it isn’t so soft), regrade the area, put down chip and dust gravel, and then compact it. That should solve our problems and make the area much nicer. Not much else. I do have a few unpublished pictures I’ll include. Happy Thanksgiving to everyone.
