Baseball is halfway through its second week and the Angels are already takin on water! The bullpen (which sucked last year and was basically rebuilt around a wing and a prayer this season) hasnt done diddley so far! We have the worst farm system in the majors! And local sportswriters here were gittin all goofy because Josh Hamilton (the $125 million man who couldnt hit his way pout of a paper bag last year) was hittin .500 after 7 games (the fact that more than half those games were against the Astros who arent exactly the 27 Yankees or maybe even the 62 Mets seemed not to matter)! He managed to sneak in four strikeouts in one game but, hey, hes Josh and hes happy so who cares? Then, last night, he tore up a thumb and will be out 6 to 8 weeks! Hey, it was eight games in! He was probably tired and needed to take a break! On the bright side, we now have third-year center field phenom Mike Trout signed through 2020 (the kids got his head screwed on straight and its the best move owner Arte Moreno has made in years) which is more than yall got and he should at least keep it interesting! 154 games to go!
