Basic Pastry Pie Crust: 4 C. Flour (all purpose) 1 3/4 C. Shortening (vegetable) 1 t. Salt 1 T. Sugar Process above until crumbs form (or mix with pastry blender). In a mixing cup combine: 1 egg 1 T. White vinegar 1/2 C. Cold water Mix this wet into the crumbs, by hitting the pulse button, until a ball rolls around in your processor. This will make 4 single pie crusts or 2 double crust pies. Rolls beautifully between two sheets of plastic wrap. Freezes well in a pie tin, wrapped in plastic, as well.
