Basic information about the Eastern bikes and sidecar meeting 2013 Romania Time: Friday 19th until Sunday 21th of July 2013 Location: Casa Zmeilor (Drachen Haus), Sambata de Sus, Brasov, Romania. GPS coordinates: N 45d 41m 28.29s E 24d 47m 1.52s The meeting will take place on the private grounds of above pension, about 1km away from the nearest village. Forest starts directly from the campsite. Camping Camping is on the departure area (flat and straight) of a small sky slope. The slope is of course not in use in the summer so it converts in a nice grass field perfect for camping. The distance from the campsite to the base where the pension is and where the camp fire and barbecue will take place is about 200m. Slope is very moderate so we are sure even after a lot of beers everybody will make it to the tent. Price for camping: FREE In addition to camping, there are room available at the pension. Price for one double room is 100 Ron/night. There are also 2 rooms with 5 beds each. Price for these rooms is 30 ron/person/night. (1 eur=4.4 ron). Breakfast and any other meals are also available at the restaurant of the pension. The cost of accomodation at the pension will be paid directly on site. Romanian currency cash money are required, no credit card acceptance. Please inform us per registration form if you want to camp of if you want a hotel room. Hotel, Pension, private rooms Accomodation is available in many different price categories within a radius of about 5 km from the site. Programme Friday, 19th of July 2013 Arrival of the participants Saturday, 20 July 2013 09.00 to 10.00 o’clock meeting of the participants who wish to join one of the two tours we organise: - Tour 1 – Transfagarasan road, one of top 10 most spectacular roads in Europe. Lunch at Balea waterfall, over 1200 m altitude Tour 2 – local objectives (country side roads and villages) including Fagaras stronghold Lunch in Fagaras From 21.00 o’clock Music (live guitar around camp fire or only voice singing according to participants taste and talent) Sunday, 21 July 2013 Departure of the participants Of course for those who want there will be enough off-road tracks. As I mentioned the forest starts directly from the campsite and the access roads continue deep in the mountains. Satuday evening we will have barbeque, campfire and live music. Costs There is no entry fee. Camping is free. Food, drinks and hotel rooms will be paid directly on site to the pension or restaurant.
