Batman-News is reporting that Jason Momoa has been cast in the Superman/Batman movie. They don’t say what role he will play, but many people are speculating that he will play Aquaman. This seems very likely because he was rumored a few months ago to be playing Aquaman, but he denied those rumors. However, the fact that the casting of Jason Momoa has been brought up again, even after he denied it, means its very possible that it’s true. However, it hasnt been confirmed by Warner Bros. So, as of now, its just a rumor. Personally, I don’t have a problem with Jason Momoa playing Aquaman, if the report is true. Is he my first choice for the role? No. I would consider actors like Jensen Ackles, Josh Holloway, and Liam McIntyre before considering Jason Momoa, but I can definitely see him playing the role. The key characteristics of Aquaman are the fact he’s a king and a warrior, and Jason Momoa can definitely play both of those things. He has played a king and a warrior in Game of Thrones. He played Khal Drogo, who was the “king” of his clan of Dothraki. He also played a warrior in Conan the Barbarian. Besides being capable of playing a king and warrior, he is capable of playing the surfer dude type, as he proved in Baywatch. He has also been to Atlantis, or another version of it. He played Ronon Dex in Stargate Atlantis.
