On the 1st December, Bay City Rollers starring Les McKeown release their first Single in over two decades....’RocknRoll Its Christmas Time!’ This Christmas cracker has all the fun and excitement of all the classic Christmas songs weve come to know and love. Added to this the unmistakable sound of a Rollers record circa 1975/76! Les McKeown started writing the song at the height of the Bay City Roller fame, when Roller mania ruled the world!...but the song was only a rough idea ....until Les met up with Boomboxs award winning songwriters and producers John McLaughlin and Jud Mahoney who between them have worked with Busted, Westlife, Michael Jackson and many more. Les played the hitmakers his idea for what he hoped would be a Christmas single back in 1976 and the Boombox team got to work on it ...The result is a fantastic single that sounds as if the Rollers record vault had been opened and a vintage Christmas hit flew out! ‘RocknRoll Its Christmas Time!’ is the first release from a new album of songs all started back in Less heyday .... All the songs capture the spirit and energy of the Rollers amazing hits of that era. The new album is due for release through Forrest-Boombox Records in Summer 2015 preceded by another single in the Spring following their current UK sellout Tour.
