Be Generous This one is a bonus. Being generous may be perceived as contradictory to controlling your spending. But while we can be stingy with eating out that doesn’t mean we need to get all Ebenezer Scrooge when it comes to being financially generous. By parting with our money to give, for example, to charity, it helps us realize that we really do have more than enough. It makes us value what we currently own which hopefully makes us less likely to go berserk at mall sales knowing that our needs are already well provided for.
