Be sure to click see morel!” When we look back for centuries churches have believed they had to impress people to bring them to Christ. I have had the opportunity to visit some very beautiful churches in my time here on earth. This one in particular had Greek colonnades and an impressive set of steps leading up the outside of the street side of the building to the main doors. Inside was a massive sanctuary filled with beautiful matching comfortable purple chairs and carpet and the balconies were lined with polished brass railings. But the most elegant part of the building was the stage, lights and props were eye drawing which accompanied the stage. It was so beautiful and impressive that this was considered to be THE church to attend in that particular city. I knew of at least one state senator, Professors, several judges, lawyers and doctors who were members there. Everybody who was anybody in town seemed to belong there. They build the building to impress and attract. And it worked… for awhile. This is what churches have done for centuries - building huge massive movie houses and playhouse theaters, decorating these buildings with beautiful marble and chandeliers and stained glass. And they courted the rich and the famous (they want these folks to be part of their church) because they believed that the more successful they appeared the more money and members they could attract. It’s an easy trap to fall into… because it DOES WORK… for awhile. The thing is, that’s NOT how God builds HIS church. God was more impressed with shepherds in the field than with Kings in palaces. God understands the wisdom of the old saying: “what you win them with is what you keep them with.” You see saints, power churches focus on POWER and SUCCESS and NUMBERS, etc. What God really wants us to focus on His message. The message for Gods people on January 6, 2015 at 8:00PM (EDT) is one you cannot, should not, and must not miss! “THE REJECTION WAS PROTECTION FOR YOUR RESURRECTION!” We encourage, invite, and even challenge you to be present. Many lives will change on this night, many will began to fill the joy necessary to operate effectively. Many will leave his/her current place of worship and began to pray and seek the proper fellowship. I look forward to letting God use me to the fullest.
